Frans Cornelissen (Rotterdam, 1966), Trombone, euphonium, bass tuba. In addition to his work as a performing musician, Frans works as a composer, arranger and conductor. He can be heard on more than 70 CDs and as a permanent arranger and horn section leader of composer Fons Merkies and participated in dozens of films, documentaries and theater recordings.The permanent ensembles that Frans currently works with are:New Cool Collective Big Band, Cubop City Big Band, Tico y Aguabajo, Timbazo, Rob Mostert band, Sherry Diane, Tommi y su Timbalight and The New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra. In the NRJO he only plays the Bastuba.
